If you are here, I think you will be better off reading entries in my Patreon, as that has become my studio journal, a place to write letters to fans across the world, to interact, and so much more. So yes. That is much better. Coming here will seem like a back door to nowhere. At least for the moment. I’m at a point in life where I want to keep certain data as close to the Abox site as I can. But this is not my blog. I state that plainly right here right now.
What it may become is an extension of the NOW phases I’d missed. I had read about this a long time ago from my un-met mentor and for a while, it really seemed to work. It’s this idea of simply letting the world know what I’m working on via one quick link. So if someone wanted to know… “What the hell is Claude doing these days? He’s not on Social Media (gasp)! Where could he be??”
Like it says on the site where the idea originally came from… Don’t social media updates do that? No, they really don’t. If I wonder how someone is doing these days, it doesn’t help me to see that they went on vacation last week, are upset about something in the news, or even got a new job. That’s not the big picture. A /now page shares what you’d tell a friend you hadn’t seen in a year.
This solves that problem. Of course, if you come back a month later and there’s nothing here… Well… That’s sort of the way it could go. BUT… The opposite is also true. If I think there’s something happening that’s very important where I would want immediate access for the entire world whether they had Social Media, Bandcamp, Spotify, Facebook, etc… Well. That’s where this thing comes in handy.
